Here's how we teach effectively and why students love the education we deliver. We:

  1. Treat students with respect and as equal humans.
  2. Story-tell and breakdown complex topics. Build up from the simplest form and relate with the real world.
  3. Know that not every student is equal; each student has their own strengths, and we help identify and develop those.
  4. Assume that language may be a barrier; and regularly translate our explanations into other common languages (e.g. English to Hindi and vice versa)
  5. Know that knowledge and competence extends beyond language boundaries.
  6. Encourage students to ask questions freely, without the fear of being rebuked or ridiculed.
  7. Emphasize honesty and ethical behaviour even if that amounts to lower test scores. Students are respected and honored for being good people, not just academic brilliance.
  8. Expect our students to be the best, and communicate our mutual expectations.
  9. Emphasize demonstrable competence over rote learning.
  10. Competence, commitment and character is our bottom line. We create competent professionals with integrity.

While this may only be a partial list of the values and efforts we plough into our education programs and courses, we encourage you to emulate. In exchange, we'd ask you to share some of your own practices to teach effectively, which engage and deliver value to students.

We wish you the best!

- Prof. Savio and the SAVIO Education Global team.
