PMI REP Action Required on the PMP Exam Updates
Published by Savio on February 3, 2020.
Dear REP,
PMI released last year that it would update the PMP exam to align with the newly released exam content outline found here: PMI PMP Exam Content Outline
Here is our view and proposed course of action every REP must take:
As an REP, you will need to accomplish work by May 2020, to remain compliant and continue training new PMP cohorts for the revised exam. The current updates are to the exam content outline and will only impact your prep exams / mock tests / test simulations.
As a result, we will be updating and publishing our online prep exams sometime in April. This will be done without charge to our clients.
The above will be true only if your training content is already aligned to the PMBOK v6. If your training content isn't yet aliogned to the PMBOK v6, then please prioritize that effort first. We can assist you in this effort, just as we've helped numerous REPs update their content.
If your training content is aligned to PMBOK v6, then I do not see the need for any changes required to your training content, and the tasks within the domains of the new exam content outline largely continue to reflect the structure of the PMBOK v6.
However, if you have in mind certain changes that you'd like to make to your courseware, then please do inform me, and I'd be glad to offer you a quote.
My team and I would be glad to be of assistance if you need assistance with adding agile+hybrid content to your existing courseware.

That's not all; there's more:
There is one thing that we should bear in mind though, which is that approximately 50% of the exam will now test predictive approaches and the remaining will test agile or hybrid approaches. So if you're training content does not sufficiently address agile+hybrid approaches, then there could be a need for you to add these parts to your courseware. My team and I would be glad to be of assistance if you need assistance with adding agile+hybrid content to your existing courseware.
